Making art for me is a way of connecting, defining, expressing and exploring.
Connecting: Is a vital way of reaching out and touching viewers/participants in a real or imagined way.
Defining: The 3–dimensional work I create defines the space it inhabits and calls attention to the surrounding space. The drawings define an imagined space.
Expressing: Allows me the freedom to put marks on paper, paint strokes and broad areas with a brush, or pouring, as well as making shapes in real space.
Exploring: By working in groups or series I am able to fully explore subjects, processes, and content that is “what I want to say.”
